Sprinkler Winterization in Utah

Blow out your lines before the first hard freeze and skip the spring repair bill.

Water left in sprinkler lines expands when it freezes. That can crack pipes, fittings, valves and your backflow preventer. Our winterization service clears the water out with compressed air so your system comes through winter ready for spring.

What's Included

When to Winterize in Utah

Along the Wasatch Front, the best window is usually October to early November, before nights drop well below freezing. Many secondary water systems shut off in mid-October, so that’s a good time to book. Hard freezes are less common in St. George, but they do happen, and exposed backflow devices and above-ground pipes still need protecting. The schedule fills up as the first freeze gets close, so book early.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't I just drain the system myself?

Manual drains often leave water sitting in low spots, sprinkler heads and the backflow device. A compressed-air blowout clears the lines much more completely.

What happens in the spring?

We can turn your system back on, test each zone for winter damage and program your controller for the season. Just ask for a spring start-up.
